In April 2014 a group of HCC students and staff will walk over a 100 kilometres of the Camino de Santiago from Tui to Santiago de Compostella in Spain. Pilgrims have walked the Camino de Santiago for over a thousand years. The walk will commence in Tui, the birthplace of Bishop Rosendo Salvado, one of our House patrons. 2014 marks the 200th anniversary of Bishop Salvado's birth. The walk ends in the old town of Santiago de Compostella at the Cathedral of St James. Salgado trained as a Benedictine Monk at St Martin's Monastery in Compastella.Students participating in the Camino 2014 will also have the opportunity to spend time in Rome and Barcelona.
