BUON GIORNO ROMA

Dinner at 2am, breakfast just before arrival Doha and then breakfast again en route to Rome - changing time zones is very confusing! We are in Rome now and it is great to be here.  Despite the jet lag we made a great effort at an early evening walk to the Spanish Steps, which were magnificent in the light of the setting sun.  We chanced upon magnificent music in Trinità dei Monti, before heading down the steps and through cobbled streets to Fontana di Trevi.  Here coins were tossed over shoulders in pursuit of the promise of a return to Rome.  Dinner at  Birreria Peroni gave us the opportunity to sample the pasta and finally a weary group strolled home to bed - after all it was 3:30am on Wednesday morning in Perth and the last time we saw bed was Monday morning.  Looking forward to more adventures tomorrow.
